Worship

Monthly 8:30am communion service

This is a relaxed and informal communion service where the sharing of the bread and wine are the focus of all that is done and said.

 10:30am service

This is the main service of our church life and includes all ages (from babies to over 90’s).  Once a month this is a Family Service, and on other Sundays adults meet for their service whilst the children and young people enjoy a lively Sunday School.  All ages then come together for the final part of the service.  Normally all ages think about the same themes, and we have a team of worship leaders who help to co-ordinate the worship with the Minister and the Lay Preachers.

Youth Activities

Youth Fellowship

This is an informal time of fellowship for the youth, they play games, watch movies and have a time for bible studies that are relevant to them.

Small Frys (Parents and Toddlers Group)

This group meets twice a week offering a safe and stimulating environment for toddlers, and a valuable opportunity for their mums or dads to meet and talk.  Although each of the sessions is busy there is still room for more.

Little Fishes Youth Club (for 5-9s)

Little Fishes meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:15pm (7:45pm for 9-13's) and is full of games, fun and teaching about Jesus. *We apologize but there is a waiting list, but feel free to come and put your name down on the list.*

Holiday Club

Each year during the summer holiday the church runs a free holiday club each morning for a week.  These prove popular every year and usually attract over 100 children.  Keep looking for details of this year’s club.

Groups for adults

Women’s Fellowship

This well-established and growing group meets every Wednesday afternoon at 2:00pm for about an hour and a half (including a cup of tea and biscuits.)  They have an impressive range of speakers and are also very active in raising money for various causes.  They are always glad to welcome new members.

Men’s Breakfast

This is a fairly recent initiative intended to provide an opportunity for men to get together and enjoy a good cooked breakfast and Christian fellowship.  They usually meet on the first Saturday of the month at 8:30am.

Cre-8

We meet once a month to try out and learn crafts, card making, glass painting, salt dough, pergamano and all things crafty. Cost - £1 to cover cost of materials.

The group meet to study the bible chapter by chapter going at the rate of the slowest member so no one feels left out or confused. There is plenty of humour and friendship, the meeting being very informal. Cups of tea are also a favourite!

Christian nurture

We encourage all our members to be involved in a midweek small group for worship, prayer and bible study, and we currently have several groups which meet regularly. We also offer regular Christian basic courses and membership classes for those who wish to discover more about Christianity, or are interested in joining our Church.

For more details about our church please telephone the Minister Rev'd Terry Keen on 01977-610526
